How well do you compare?
Now it makes sense to me why I wanted to be a pharmacist and not a doctor; we take what we can get!

Science isn't just what's been in the news.

Cause you're so beautiful
Like a tree
Or a high-class prostitute
You're so beautiful
Mmm, you could be a part-time model
But you'd probably have to keep your normal job

12, but technically two of their answers are wrong, and a third was poorly written.

Hydrogen and helium are certainly both implicated in a rise in the Earth's temperature, since the sun rather uses both in its whole 'really hot hotness' game.  And some lasers do use focused sound waves, although it's not the sound waves that are emitted.

Ehhhh. So we get to wear shorts year 'round and talk in funny high voices. S'what's the problem?

  If the sun's helium winds up here, then we've got other problems a lot.

:nonplused:

That wouldn't be a laser. It'd be a saser. Are you talking about photoacoustic spectroscopy?

Ne, ne, ne -- they have lasers that use soundwaves to compress the lasing medium (gas) and make it lase.  The laser is still a laser, but the stimulation by electrical radiation part gets a boost from the sonics.  This is not the same as the misnamed 'acoustic laser' things that just emit severe soundwaves.

Well, there's still the usual radiation.  The sound, I dunno, compresses the gas, or something.  It's sound-enhanced, maybe.

SELASER?  I only accept laser, maser, and phaser.  No graser, etc.  Three is enough.

If you went 2000 years back in time, how much could you help jumpstart modern technology?

I like the idea better than the execution, but it's still pretty cool.

I got "17th or even 19th century".  I'm guessing they mean that as a range, not that those are pretty much the same.  I got three wrong, but unfortunately it's not easy to tell which three, etc.  :(

Ironically, my desktop image at the moment is one of those Keep This Handy! time-travel cheatsheets, but it's too small to actually read . . . .

10th century.   :(

They give you the correct answers with your results.  You'd have to go back through and remember how you answered each question.

Yeah, but it wouldn't let me back up, and I was lazy.

I also wasn't sure it would give me exactly the same questions if I did it twice, but I was too lazy to even check.  :P
