I thought Tito Ortiz was a douche for leaving the UFC when he did.  Now, I'm thinking that he was a visionary.  It's a shame that he hasn't turned up anywhere else, yet.
I overslept this morning.  I was hitting the snooze button like it was my little sister.

Well, look at the payroll at UFC 88.  Dan Henderson got paid the most after Liddell - and well he should - but they had his fight third down on the card and fourth in broadcast.  I know Franklin is popular, but his first fight at 205 means it's basically entry level.  And Franklin even took the fight with no pay besides the win bonus.

I was going to start a new thread for UFC 92 - The Ultimate 2008, but then realized I didn't have much to say and if nobody else does either, it'd be a pretty pathetic thread.  So...

****spoilers be following, arrrrr****

****here be spoilers****

I didn't watch much of the lesser fights, but I did think the C.B. Dollaway vs. Mike Massenzio fight was pretty interesting with all the ground action, short as it was.  Quinton Jackson was looking tops and so was Frank Mir.  I wish Nogueira would have beat Mir, but he was just really slow in there.  Slow in the same way Evans looked in the first two rounds against Griffin.  I'm not a fan of Evans and Forrest is so hard to dislike that this just sucked, but then, neither Griffin nor Evans seem to me to be the guys at the top of the bracket in the Light Heavyweight anyway; they're just too small or something.

BTW, if any of you were listening to Rogan during Nogueira's walk in, he mentioned the Bob Sapp fight in Pride and how awesome it was.  I decided to check it out.

Here it is: Part 1 and Part 2.  It's like watching Donkey Kong; at one point Sapp does double windmills and jumps up and down.  Funnay!  The piledriver is right off the bat about 1:20 in part 1, but the replay where you see it better is at 4:45 in the 2nd.
Shake your groove thing.

UFC 100.

Wow. That last Dan Henderson shot was crazy. Totally unnecessary. I've been checking news and sports websites to see if Bisping has recovered yet....

I would be a lot more excited to watch MMA fighting if it looked like that.
