Did anybody watch the men's short program?  I was totally not feeling Contesti's outfit.

He looks fine in picture 3, but in the first two he looks like that one guy on Hee Haw that no one was comfortable talking to.

Women's downhill - a French woman just fell about 30 feet into the course

Did it show up weird on your TV?  With his yellow pants against the blue background (either the color was really off on my TV or it was blue against a yellow background) I kept seeing splotches of green.  Very disconcerting first few seconds spent trying to decide if it was intentional.

And I am old, so I remember Eddie the Eagle.

I think Chan did really well, all things considered.

I mean, it's not like he had a tassel.

OK, this NOT something I ever thought I would think or say, but they have got to start letting me design and choose the skating costumes.  It could not be a step down.

:hmm:

For the next Winter Olympics, Men's Short Program, I'm thinking

- Borg

- Old-School Cylon

- Batman (with cape)

- Ninja OR Firefighter (skater's choice)

- Starlight Express

- Raggedy Andy (for whoever pisses me off)

I know that should be "for whomever", but that just sounds awful.

This was one of the crazy moments today. I watched it live and was like wtf? Turns out she stepped on her pole basket knocking her off balance. I've done it a million times myself, just never 2 seconds into a televised downhill run at the Olympics.

Yeah, I watched that event last night. Poor girl. She's probably still

That course was brutal. I think only about half of the skiers actually made it to the bottom.

Lindsey Vonn was impressive. In the starting gate she was shaking like a leaf. You could see her adrenaline level was maxed out. By the end of her run, you could see she was almost skiing on one leg due to her injury.
It's symbolic of our struggle against reality.

Frustrating. Every time we look it's women's hockey. Not that there's anything wrong with that, it's just we wouldn't mind seeing one or two other sports but our time window is pretty narrow.

Well, yeah, I was just making a stupid pun.  Although I did see some people calling him "Johnny Queer" yesterday.  I'm sure he NEVER heard that one growing up (or mine, for that matter).

Love him and his tassel.  He can eye fuck me to Lady Gaga anytime.

I got the joke. Was laying down one of my own - kinda subtle tho...  ;)
