Wow.  I didn't remember that at all.  I guess I really need to reread that book.  I haven't read it since . . . like 1982.  Time fries, and all that.

I just recently read Catcher in the Rye and did not notice anything regarding a mental hospital. It is possible that I am simply unobservant - but also that whomever wrote the article you read is full of shit.

:lol:  I did read it when I was 8 or 9, but I wasn't 8 in 1982.  That was just probably the last time I read it.  I faked my way through it from memory during freshman English in high school.  If I can't tell now whether or not that article was wrong, I guess my memory isn't still that good.
