We're in unprecedented territory here folks, but I'm seriously considering removing Ms. Plimpton from the PoUA.
My major departure with her was in Mosquito Coast, when she uttered the immortal line: "I think about you when I go to the bathroom." I had to leave the theater when she said that, and I've been unable to muster the personal wherewithal to stomach her in anything since then.
Until now. I watched "Raising Hope" based on a friend's recommendation (and a deep, abiding love of The Leachman), and I have to admit that I've been won over by it. This doesn't mean that I'm a fan or anything, only that I'm a reasonable person who will occasionally revisit and reconsider my opinions. She's dug herself out of a pretty big hole, and as long as she stays dedicated to that, I'm willing to release her back into the wild on a provisional basis. She was a Goonie, after all.
That said, she has much to do to atone for, say, Stanley & Iris, or (especially) the left and right hands of the cinematic goatses that are "The Beans of Egypt, Maine" and "I Shot Andy Warhol." Especially the latter. There was nudity...and we were considering a third child at the time. Now there's a hole in my family....
Maybe there's a PoUA ankle tracking bracelet or something.
