Transition weather.  I hate it.  Is it hot? Yes. Is it cold? Yes. Will I need a jacket? Yes, and you will also be annoyed carrying it around when it's hot.  (It's supposed to get down to 60 by 10 tonight. Today it was 80.  These high-variation days just mess with me.)

I like it.  It's like a buffet of weather.
I need this done ASAP, or whenever you can get around to it.  Tomorrow is fine.

We're finally getting the summer heat.  It was the coldest summer on record for us but two weeks ago the triple digits hit and it's been in the 90s-triples since.

With the sprinkling going on, I didn't get my car washed today. Yesterday it was too hot, today I'm going to have Grandma complaining about the cold.

Thunderstorm x 4.  Weather people are still saying 'slight chance' while it's been booming and pouring for over half an hour already.  Cats are going bonkers, power flickers, surprised the internet's still on.

Tut, tut. It looks like rain.

I just got home, and after clear weather all day . . . now we have a severe thunderstorm warning until 1 AM.

Among other things, that means I have to unplug my computers, since I still don't have a really truly grounded outlet on the second floor yet . . . and the only outlets I'm actually sure of are in the basement and garage.  OF COURSE.

Them's probably the storms we had here earlier. Spectacular lightning, though the storm was downgraded from "severe" just as it got to the city here.
Now it makes sense to me why I wanted to be a pharmacist and not a doctor; we take what we can get!

It was pretty dramatic here, but it blew over earlier than they predicted, which is pretty normal but no less welcome because of that.

My roof repair from the other day held up great.

And the same piece of roof started leaking in a new place about twelve inches away.  :thumbsdn:

first day of fall . . . 101°.   :thumbsdn:

i don't think i can convey my dislike of the desert valley in simple text. just know that 90% of dislike of dick vegas is toward location, unemployment levels and fiscal situation.

if i had the money i would move. i would move with extreme prejudice. i hate this town, i hate the industry and i hate my fucking situation.

oh, it's still fucking hot. it's supposed to cool off this weekend . . . . 98° tomorrow. yay. i have so much work to do involving wax. i used to wonder why we didn't have jewelry schools/classes here in town. well, you'd need to hold them in an ice truck.

you'd be surprised how much a nutsack can stretch. you have to stretch it yourself, not a woman. they don't do it quite right.

"Breezy" today, with winds up to 40 MPH, and from the looks of things outside those aren't occasional breezes so much as frequent.  The high today is almost 80, and the high tomorrow isn't supposed to reach 60, so I guess some air movement has to be expected.  Hopefully it won't rain enough to rain inside my house, but we'll see.

UPDATE:  They don't know WTF to forecast anymore.  For the last month or so, it's frequently been IT'S GONNA RAIN AND THEN PROBABLY RAIN TOMORROW AND PROBABLY TOMORROW NIGHT AND SO ON FOR SEVERAL DAYS.  THUNDERSTORMS, TOO.

Then two hours later, when it hasn't rained yet, I check back, and it's all SUNNY AND MILD FROM NOW UNTIL I DON'T KNOW WHEN.

Apparently it's now official that this past summer was the hottest here since 1955.  Reportedly, 1988 had more days above 90 F but was almost 3 F cooler on average.

Yesterday was over 90. It's the first hot day we've had this summer, period. Left the windows open overnight for the first time, etc. Amazin.
