teabagging
« on: April 13, 2009, 10:37:27 PM »
Rachel Maddow reports on Republican teabagging (and tries not to crack up too much while doing so)
"I find that I am so rarely consulted when it's obvious I needed to be." - Talix
"Oh, god, I'm turning into Axe.  Watch out, people who are wrong on the internet!" - feffer

Hilarious.  Maddow was having a little fun but actually kind of reporting.  Wonkette just acted like she was on The Daily Show.

You're so beautiful
Mmm, you could be a part-time model
But you'd probably have to keep your normal job

Holy crap...right in our beautiful state... :trance:

Pick your state from the list on the right... :eyeroll:

Edit: 357 confirmed attendees on the Seattle Facebook page. Spokane, I could almost understand.

Seriously WTH is wrong with these....?

Nevermind.

Utterly moronic.

I got a good laugh out of the video, but the more I think about the whole thing...

Are these not the same people who were so gung-ho about going to war?

Isn't this kind of like going into a fancy restaurant and ordering an expensive meal, finishing the meal and then trying to refuse to pay the bill because the manager of the restaurant has plans to redecorate the restaurant next year?

It's symbolic of our struggle against reality.

OK I just watched that. And these guys a) hate Obama, b) won't let Michael Steele speak at their events and c) Stormfront loves them.

And their tax protest is against a taxation change that benefits them, for the most part, because CLEARLY these clowns are not really rich. So what's motivating them? Yep. Let's revisit that: these guys a) hate Obama, b) won't let Michael Steele speak at their events and c) Stormfront loves them.

Got all that? Yep. Loud and friggin' clear.

We have learned not to expect things like LOGIC and FACTS or even ACTUAL SELF-INTEREST to get in the way, here.

Somebody pointed out that Michael Steele looks very much like Shock G aka "Humpty Hump" from Digital Underground.

That small observation alone has made politics so much more entertaining to me.
