Yah, never seen it, myself.  The title alone sets my teeth on edge, but most Westerns don't do much for me.


Al Franken was afraid of Tipper, too.  On the other hand, apparently he should've been.  :eyeroll:

I liked Lust in the Dust and Blazing Saddles.

I actually didn't like Lust in the Dust, but it's hard not to like Blazing Saddles.  I also liked Three Amigos! and Rustler's Rhapsody, for that matter.  The genre is often so overblown that it's almost too easy to parody.

I've liked some serious Westerns, too, but less than half the ones I've seen a significant chunk of, I guess.

I just watched Godless recently, a pretty decent Western. It's sort of a modern slant on a Western, but in taking the modern slant, it's often anachronistic. It's got High Noon and Unforgiven in it, maybe a few others too, but still fresh in some ways.
It's symbolic of our struggle against reality.
