Because it really needs its own space.

This one's kind of subtle but cracks me up more the more I look at it.

Russell Westbrook, abducted right in the middle of a game.  This is the real reason why the NBA doesn't play outdoor games.

The alien abduction thing is apparently more common than I thought.  Here's Paul Pierce taking advantage of Matt Barnes' imminent unrequested probing.

:hmm:

It might be.  I can't tell.  That photo must be from around 1983 or '84, when he was in Nightmare on Elm Street.

I can't find my copy right now, but also related to the making of Conan the Destroyer is a photo of Wilt and Andre the Giant holding Arnold up off the ground.  It's a pretty awesome picture.

OK, I can't be bothered to rehost it, but if you GIS "wilt arnold andre" you'll get like 65 copies.  But this page here says that the guy on the left in that photo is Richard Anderson, who played Oscar Goldman on The Six Million Dollar Man.  Now that I read that, yeah, I recognize him.  Which is funny because I almost never saw that show, alas, or The Bionic Woman, either.

Glen 'Big Baby' Davis, of the Celtics, is a great Sixth Man.  Tons of energy, decent post play, decent midrange shot, decent rebounding, decent defense, currently the best in the NBA at drawing charges.  Seems like a nice guy.

But he's never mastered the NBA Look.

He's entertaining, though.  He's still young -- I think he's in his fourth year -- so he has time.

He's huge!
Cause you're so beautiful
Like a tree
Or a high-class prostitute
You're so beautiful
Mmm, you could be a part-time model
But you'd probably have to keep your normal job

Davis is listed at 6 ft 9 in, 289 lb.

That's a big baby.
It's symbolic of our struggle against reality.

He's the same height as Larry Bird, for comparison, but about 75 lb heavier.  He doesn't play like Bird; he plays more like a slighty insane short center with an outside shot.

In other Larry Bird news, the other day I was talking about basketball with a customer from the Boston area who told me Paul Pierce had become "the black Larry Bird".  If you don't know why that's funny, it's probably too hard to explain.

A couple of quick ones:

Wearing sunglasses indoors at a game?  Steve Nash will slap them right off your face.

DeAndre Jones doesn't have an Indoor Voice.
