'twas the time machine did him in.
It's symbolic of our struggle against reality.

King Abdullah. Apparently there are only two sons of Abdulaziz, al-Saud, left, and the succession is by no means certain. Aprés lui, le deluge?

Oh and PDI/Dreamworks. Fuck. Say what you will about their sequels, but they did make some pretty damn good original movies in their time.

And my oldest friend is one of the 500. She'd been with the company something like 20 years. What's happened to her is what makes me so anxious and angry these days. How the hell do you find a new career, at our age? How? My heart is a little broken too.

Yeah, that's a pretty scary position to be in.  I firmly blame the Top Three for the problems DreamWorks has had.  They've greenlighted a lot of bad projects and asked the animators and directors to make them fly.

Well, if you ask me, maybe it's time for a new competitor to enter the field.  And hire the PDI folks.

I don't know if it's real or not, but if not, it's so clever I don't care.

respectable news source: "noted industrial designer kenji ekuan, who designed the bullet train, has passed. he also designed kikkoman's famous soy sauce bottle."

general purblic: "oh, man, the soy sauce guy died."  :eyeroll:

somehow, i think as a buddhist, i feel he'd be okay with that.

they talked about him on npr yesterday.

you'd be surprised how much a nutsack can stretch. you have to stretch it yourself, not a woman. they don't do it quite right.
