Cranberry juice, pretzels, and slices of cheddar.
Half of which gets stolen/begged off me by the small ones before it makes it to my mouth. =P

I've got black-eyed peas cookin' in the crock pot.

I haven't been too hungry the past few days, perhaps I'll have some of my homemade sorbet. Vitamins and fruit and all that, you know.

Lunch was a bologna sandwich and some Doritos.

Dinner is chicken and dumplings.
I overslept this morning.  I was hitting the snooze button like it was my little sister.

Mexican gumbo from Qdoba for lunch.  Lilia hogged this down despite the medium salsa in it.

Homemade Northern Italian goulash for dinner.

Rice Chex, no milk. Two servings, though.
I'm generalizing from one example here, but everyone generalizes from one example. At least, I do.

I've been lacto-ovo vegetarian for the past four days (except for the split pea & ham soup last eve) - I'm planning to reintroduce the toxins via the Harry & David sausage and cheese I got last week.  Breakfast was a cookie from the Institute and green tea.

Noontime breakfast was pancakes. Dinnertime lunch and Midnight snacktime dinner are yet to be determined, but either or both will likely involve pasta.

Well. I have to say. Rewind a bit.

NYE Breakfast was home made pho'' with rare beef. Need I say it was Pho'' King Awesome. And I did smoked baby back ribs on the grill super low (4 hours plus). Worked great. I have a rib stand thing so I can prop them up away from the burner, and I rigged a chip tray that I put over the burner (apple mostly with a few hickory chips).

Dessert was little individual molten lava chocolate cakes the kids made by adapting a recipe from Nigella Lawson's baking cookbook. Holy shit. They were awesome. Everything we've done from her cookbooks has been awesome (and I can't say that about the other famous chefs' books we have). I've been having astonishingly impure thoughts about Nigella ever since. I mean, I think I sprained my tongue.
