No, I have right-on-the-edge sorta luck with the cops.  I can't afford to screw around too much -- gotta save it for when I really need it.

Come to think of it, right now I have a billy club in the car (had it when I was housesitting) and a big knife (camping equipment) that's in a plastic bag along with a sleeping bag liner (which means it could be construed as a concealed weapon).  I better take that stuff out of the car tonight.

I wouldn't mind a little directional EMP generator, but I don't have one.  Seems unlikely that it'd tend to get traced back to me, if I only used it judiciously.

The difference is intent. If some asshole is trying to squash you, then yeah, the gloves come off.
Randomly tooling around and getting that close to people with a horn that can be heard for miles... not so cool. First cop that sees that shit going down is going to make the Rodney King spectacle look more like an overenthusiastic group hug.

I'll let you follow me to work on my bike someday through suburban Toronto. You'd be lucky if you could get the airhorn off before some jackass in a rolling two tonne phone booth levels you. hahahaha BUT - FTR - I have always used the ding-ding bell for pedestrians and the ear-splitter horn for the fuckfaces in the SUVs.

Cause you're so beautiful
Like a tree
Or a high-class prostitute
You're so beautiful
Mmm, you could be a part-time model
But you'd probably have to keep your normal job

Mick's got huge balls. Thanks for posting that. I've never heard it, and I thought I had almost everything he/they did from that era. I guess I need to track down Metamorphosis.

There's a weird "related" video on that page - an old silent 8mm film of a Folsom street parade featuring Ozzy (I never saw him in it). The only way I can figure it's related is because it's from 1970.

I guess I need to track down Metamorphosis.

I have that song on the Performance sountrack. The version on Metamorphosis is performed by the Stones. I haven't heard it, but I can't imagine it's better than the soundtrack version. Ry Cooder -- c'mon!

Most of the rest of the album is not very interesting, but the 3 tracks that are make the CD worth owning. The other 2 tracks of note are:

"Gone Dead Train" by -- get this -- Randy Newman! And it absolutely rocks!

and

"Wake Up, Niggers" by The Last Poets. Proto-hip-hop. A gem.

Amazon has listening samples.

Oh, and while I'm thinking of it, thanks for that Gogol Bordello earworm, mo. This is new to me!

I can't really take credit for that one. Somebody else here posted it a long time ago... dogbone maybe?
