I think Jimi Hendrix wrote it, but I don't know the name of it.

  The song was easy to guess, but his stunts were the most fun.  I've never seen that trick done with that kind of sideshow, but it was very

This is video of Goat2 reading an essay to his school. He wrote the essay for a contest -- The Kindest Kansas Citian -- and nominated a friend of ours, also in the video, who is a breast cancer survivor. The essay was chosen as a finalist from among 5500 in the KC area.

He's reading it in front of about 700 people and doing a great job --he wasn't nervous at all. I don't think there was an adult with a dry eye by the time he finished. When he went back to his class after the assembly his classmates gave him a standing ovation.

I absolutely could not be prouder.

Did he compare breast cancer to cookies?
Cause you're so beautiful
Like a tree
Or a high-class prostitute
You're so beautiful
Mmm, you could be a part-time model
But you'd probably have to keep your normal job

Maybe he meant breasts. Can't eat just one, always want more, get in trouble if you put your hand on one at the wrong time ...

Yeah, all the posters here with kids are doing a fine job, I'd say.

It gives me hope for the future, really.

It really is quite impressive. Not a single "uh", and he doesn't appear to be reading. I don't think I could do that in front of 10 people, much less 700, and especially not at that age. Those are not traits that most kids have. You really should be proud.

Yup. "If you have too much, something bad can happen."

And yeah, mo, I'm setting a new land speed record for proud.

The Goat stuff is great but needs more mohawk.

The Amateur video . . . I don't get it -- I couldn't hear the cowbell.

But, seriously, I've been waiting for time-traveler music to make a comeback.  Somewhere, Mike Jitlov must be proud.  If he's still alive.  Although the "still alive" thing is kind of awkward when you're talking time travelers.

Never mind.
