I'm generalizing from one example here, but everyone generalizes from one example. At least, I do.

At Kmart:

me: These shorts are supposed to be buy one, get one free, but when I scan them on the price check thingee, they show full price.

clerk: You have to buy two.

me: But I only need one. How about if I buy two, and then return one?

clerk: Then you'll only get half back.

me: That's fine, can't we just go ahead and do that now instead of having to make two transactions?

clerk:  :nonplused:

me: Are you working tomorrow?

There's not many left, but there are a few. The mood in the store is kind of like what I imagine death row would be like.

Need a way to carry a Bible with you while hunting or after the collapse of civilization?  But you don't want to give yourself away, so maybe you need a camouflage Bible carrier.  On the other hand, camouflage is so drab, so maybe you want to celebrate your camouflaged Bible a bit with a rhinestone fleur-de-lis and fancy cross.

Makes perfect sense.

We gotcha covered.

Ad I saw today:

Today only!  Buy A Sword, Get A Sword!

So, uh, what was yesterday's sale?  Buy a sword, get an empty box?

I decided to try some Maxwell House dark roast coffee on my last purchase, since it was a couple bucks cheaper. I've been drinking Folgers Black Silk (dark roast) for several years. When I first started with the Maxwell House, I hated it. So when the Folgers went on sale, I bought more of it. Now I don't like the Folgers

For today, we have three combinations of beer and Tolkien. https://www.qwertee.com/

Personally I'm getting the older Indiana Mouse and wearing it around anthropologists, because I can.
