Go on!  Go on!  It makes me feel better.  :P

Anyway, glad your dog's feeling better, too.

She is such a sweet dog.

Whenever Sophie talks about her -- which is a LOT -- she always talks about what a "sweetie pie" Sarah is. that dog eats it up too. it's so funny.

So she now gets Tramadol 50 Mg 2x/day.

That's a generous dose of Tramadol.  How much does she weigh?

A little less than 50 lbs. The dosage indicated was 3x a day. We can wean her down a little from that too. Her follow up is Saturday.

I'm going to Baton Rouge tomorrow...

Dude. Be careful. Keep the gas tank full. It's amazing how "you can't get there from here" happens when it's flooding.

OMG> why don't I just shut up already.

Because the rest of us being run by our pets feel slightly less crazy when there's company.   :D

That's true.

I am pleased and rather puzzled to report that stopping the Kaopectate seems to have cleared up the worst of the poop problems old dog was having. OK running with that.

On the down side I can't even find her poop in the yard. I don't have any idea what she's doing with it. That's not good either.

n.b. Kaopectate ... ain't what it used to be. It used to have, you know, duh, kaolin and pectin in it, and it was supposed to absorb excess water, etc. NOW it's got that bismuth stuff that's in Pepto-Bismol. Uhhhhh, what. Black, tarry, sticky poo, EVERYWHERE, is what. :tmi: Enough of that.

One of my cow-orkers' cats ate a huge amount of powdered creamer the other day.

The results apparently didn't bother the cat too much, but, uh, everyone else nearby was reportedly very miserable for about 24 hours.

Pets get into stuff .. but how is the question. Powdered creamer is nothing like milk. Sheesh

Bad cat opened cupboard, threw creamer container on floor.  Good cat ate creamer.

Sometimes the good ones have to go off on a spree of badness when the opportunity presents itself.  This is true across all species.

I think the question is more why the good cat ate the creamer. Because that stuff can be really horrid industrial chemical waste. You'd think cats would know better, even if we don't.

It's also really fucking flammable. I like it.

I bet it tastes sweet to cats.  Cats like to lick plastic because it has a sweet taste to them.  Powdered creamer is kind of like plastic, ergo it must taste sweet to a cat.  See, I can doos sciences too!
I need this done ASAP, or whenever you can get around to it.  Tomorrow is fine.

Makes sense to me.

Humans have higher risk undergoing anesthesia that increases with age. Apparently this isn't the case with cats; it's the state of the renal system that's more of a determinant. I bring this up as one of our cats is having dental work done so he'll stop having issues with his nose and eye.
I'm generalizing from one example here, but everyone generalizes from one example. At least, I do.
