I feel bad for your moms but sometimes you just got to let little furry people do what little furry people are gonna do and let it go.
I need this done ASAP, or whenever you can get around to it.  Tomorrow is fine.

Dem little furry peeples sure do have ideas about their doings, that's for sure.

Ack!  That is terrible.  I do like the image of the cat with the wind in his face, though.

On a lighter note, has everyone seen my dorky dog?
Cause you're so beautiful
Like a tree
Or a high-class prostitute
You're so beautiful
Mmm, you could be a part-time model
But you'd probably have to keep your normal job

My dad had a turtle named Pokey once. Don't let it run around in the backyard if you ever want to see it again, even if you fashion a tiny little flag with its name on it and attach it to the turtle with plumbers putty.

my turtle's name is Lemon. i gave her some tiny dried shrimp as a treat. i like turtles.

Our turtle's name is Buster. He lives in a giant aquarium with a float raft so he can dry off. It's good to get them out of the water (we put him in a dry plastic tub for a few days. Steve puts an iodine treatment on Buster's shell...

A reptile/sun lap is a must have. You probably don't need it as much as we do here, but they're cold blooded -- we don't let either of our turtles hibernate, because it just doesn't get cold enough here for them to do it properly....

Good to have a filtering system in the aquarium too.

Uh...

Buster (and most sliders) really like those little feeder goldfish from the pet store. Buster herds his like cattle -- he'll eat all but one in the first week usually, then he keeps one for months... until it grows almost as big as he is. Then at some undetermined point he decides to eat his friend. It's quite shocking, as it usually involves Buster biting the fish's tail until it can't swim and then he turns around and eats its face off.

We have a hard plastic kiddie pool we put out in the backyard in the summer for both turtles (Eeyore is our box turtle who loves to swim). We have a wire cover for it to keep them safe, and they'll spend hours out on sunny days paddling around in there, eating strawberries.

If you have snails in your garden (and there's no chemicals being used), some turtles really like to eat live snails (Buster turns his nose up at them, but Eeyore gets this ravenous dinosaur glint in her eye when I bring her snails).

They shed layers of shell about once a year, which is pretty amazing.

Depending how old Lemon is, and if she's in good health, some sliders can live up to 50 years... so name a guardian for her in your will.  ;)

awesome! will forward to co-adopter. thanks beh beh  :knotty:

Lemon has a lamp, water heater, thermometers, a floaty island, a filter, a 20 gal tank for now... i love the idea of a big, safe pool for her. she also has some action figures that sit outside the tank that she seems to like. i might get her some fish. she seemed a little in shock when we first got her and now she seems to greet us when we go over to talk to her.

Lemon seems to be adjusting to her new home. i think i may get her a few fish (13 cents each... but i'm afraid to get attached to them and then see their little faces get ripped off). but anyways, based on a little research, i'm going to upgrade her tank size and filtering system a few notches. i think the people i adopted her from may have been getting ready for an upgrade.

she's getting kind of like, friendly. which is not what i expected from a turtle. the internets say don't let her mind-fuck you about giving her treats and make herself sick.  :P

oh, Stoatse, at the pet shop looking for stuff for Lemon, i saw several spunky P1gz and thought of you.
