Cats excel in the vomiting arena.
I need this done ASAP, or whenever you can get around to it.  Tomorrow is fine.

Caller: my pet is vomiting every day.
Office: bring them in right away.  Which pet is it?
Caller: it's the cat,  Grump-wuddles.
Office: Bye. <click>

I actually manually rotated that image, resaved it, and re-attached it, and it STILL comes out rotated that way.

The internet is kinda dumb, I'm afraid.  We've broken it a lot.

He's a beauty.

Is there a story behind the name? Is he your security advisor?  :P
It's symbolic of our struggle against reality.

Just as we sifted through many, many kitten listings, we sifted through many names.  But once you gots the kitten, you best have the name, or you end up calling the cat something random that just stuck.

He is a very boy-cat kitten, adventurous and enthusiastic and athletic, and princely, and so it's "Flynn" as in "Errol Flynn".

He has long but sort of sparse fur at this point, so we're waiting impatiently to see what his coat turns out like.  He's mostly white (goes well with the furniture :P) but his tail is dark from base to tip, which keeps amusing me.  He's very pliable, considering -- he's already learned to fetch properly (he brings the toy back and drops it so you can throw it again) and to high-five, and we're teaching him to do a dance before he gets his food.

One of our older cats, a female named Xena, will jump in the air and spin around on command . . . about half the time, if you don't try to do it too often.  With cats, it's sort of easier to let them demonstrate the tricks they're partial to, and then encourage them, than it is to pick tricks ahead of time and train them.  But kittens are more malleable, in a couple of senses.

Flynn is turning out FLUFFY but still super-soft. He is mysteriously smart and has learned to open the trashcan (he steps on the pedal to open it) and Axe has informed me that when I come home from work and get out of the car and set the car alarm, Flynn starts purring once he hears the sound of the car horn since he knows Ill be in the house within ten seconds. He is not scared of the broom and is only occasionally scared of the vacuum cleaner. Alas, he does not yet have a YouTube channel and thus is not unboxing products or however the hell people make money off of their YouTube channels. OH ALSO he can send me texts from Axes phone by pawing at the screen!! The other day he sent me a gif of John Stewart clapping  :rollin: and a day later he sent a gif from Bill & Teds Excellent Adventure.  Usually its just a weird string of emoji. We are trying to get a video of him texting. Kittens these days, geez.

Flynn's ability to play fetch is seriously high-end, not to brag about the kids.  He's still learning (hopefully) to respond super-consistently to the word "ball" and a request to have it delivered, but he gets it right most of the time.  He has an UNCANNY ability to drop the ball and then hit it with his paw so that it rolls to you, even from several feet away.

Maybe we should teach him to putt.

We had to put down Scooter on Sunday.  She had a good run of fourteen years and almost 4 months.  :(

Since Chunk has been a little lonely.  We're fostering three new pups as of yesterday.
