Our average high for November 28 is 40 F.  Today is 56 F.  On the other hand, in 1990 it hit 65 F on the same day.  But we're having a warm November, too.

Could be worse.  Probably will be.

WHERE IS YOUR GOD NOW?
It's symbolic of our struggle against reality.

I was going to answer, "on vacation." But do gods even get vacations? Is it a 24/7 job (or worse! if they have time control) with no time off to go to the spa to get a good massage and time in a hot tub? No wonder they seem irritable when they get called by mortals wanting yet another favor.

Right now, I'm assuming the gods have gone somewhere warmer.

More seriously, during this ultra-cold snap I fixed my furnace and fixed tangerine's furnace (which was fortunately much easier).  Her neighbor's furnace died and was dead for three days before being replaced, which seems like more of an Easter thing, but whatever.  One of my clerks had her furnace die and need repairs, and the shop's furnace is laboring poorly as well.

It's a rough winter so far.  It took until the third week of December to stop being September, basically, but we moved right to Arctic Doom.

That sucks. Sounds like it's going to be tough up there.

Those damn Frosts should stay in Seattle where they belong.

I woke up one morning in Lincoln with my inside xmas lights around our windows encased in ice.

They were still lit.

I'm so glad I'm not in Lincoln.
you'd be surprised how much a nutsack can stretch. you have to stretch it yourself, not a woman. they don't do it quite right.

It's 13 F warmer here than in Lincoln, so I'm also glad I'm not in Lincoln anymore.  Although the high temp there today is almost twice the high here . . . but still.

Does Spider-Man have a fly in that costume, or does he have to peel the whole thing halfway off?  He's just gonna pee on the hammer, anyway.  I think we all know he will.

We haven't had a frost yet.  Lows are in the low 40s and highs are in the high 60s the past week or so.  We still have a few tomatoes on the vine but they're not really ripening with the short days.

We had a 28F frost one night while everything was fucking on fire and ash was falling like light snow, which was interesting to say the least. It's been a lot warmer since the fire is out, which probably confuses the hell out of Republicans

These days, the kind of Republicans we get would probably be pretty confused by a zipper.  Possibly they'd try to burn it as a witch.

We've had a quarter inch of rain overnight. Not sure if it's enough to unleash the Mudslide That Will Erase La Conchita Once And For All but it's nevertheless worrisome
