Makes me think:  We don't have the $$$ right now, and who knows when, but I WANT a tankless water heater.

Our house is very small, and it's like ten feet or less from the water heater to any hot water tap.  Rarely are two taps engaged at once.  Only the two of us living there.  We have gas service.  Kind of ideal for a tankless heater . . . PLUS suddenly we'd have a closet in the bathroom.

We're getting a tankless with the remodel.  It's Sandy's bag, so I have no idea.  I'm just hoping we don't have to take out an additional HELOC to cover all this stuff.

This ain't Colorado, but we did get an inch of snow yesterday, the middle of the second week of April (in case the math escaped you).  That's not super-keen.

On the plus side, I still have snow tires on my car until I can afford and arrange for cheap-ass summer tires from Costco or something.  So that worked out.

Book show [ sigh ] is Sunday.

NWS is predicting F$CKING SNOW for Saturday night / Sunday morning.

Well, it's April 28th.  It's gonna be in the 50s by mid-afternoon Sunday.  How much snow could we even be talking about?

Quote from: NWS
New snow accumulation of around 5 inches.

We didn't get that late snow, amazingly -- it would've been amazing (and appalling) to get it, but they were so damn sure . . . .

Tonight we have a frost warning.  :nonplused:

It's been socked in foggy and drizzly and in the fifties FOR DAZE. They turned the heat back on in the building - after years of complaints that they left it on well into May when it was already hot, they turned it off end of April this year and we've been shivering up here. But them turning the heat on is the LAST thing I expected

Went to Bakersfield yesterday. 105F. Drove home. 57F.

This is why we pay so much to live here.

Gilroy gardens today.  The kid was feeling nostalgic and wanted to go.  101 there.  83 back here.  Big money.

OH this dumb perfectly normal weather!

Yesterday, Heat Index over 100 F, with torrential downpours.

Today, Heat Index over 100 F, with severe thunderstorm warnings and possible tornadoes.

Not a big fan.  Yesterday was like being in Orlando again, and today was like being in Nebraska.  :nonplused:

If this is the new normal, I blame Republicans.

Considering where the political money coming from oil companies has all gone for the last fifty years, this is literally correct.
